Can you believe it?! We are half way to Christmas! You better start your Christmas shopping and maybe Memorial weekend will be the best time to start and hit up all the sales π
Its already been a busy month! I have been trying to whip out orders as fast as they are coming in. There will be some happy mothers rocking their new qaspeqs π Good job husbands and gentlemen for getting in your order for that special lady in your life.
On another note my nephew is graduating! Eeeeeks! My first cutest stinkest fattest nephew will be graduating from high school next Friday! I cant believe it seems like just yesterday I was rushing home from grade school to visit my cousin. And my first paid job babysitting the cutest stinker Conwad! Gosh! Now I really feel old. I am excited to be heading home next weekend for that to see all my family and friends.
I won a beautiful Iphone 6 case from Julianna Engler of Fort Yukon. She does wonderful beadwork and if you haven’t already go likeΒ her Facebook page Engler Designs.
I have a pile of bags, wallets and qaspeqs to finish π
Happy Sewing!
Happy Wednesday!
Its been a wild March month!
We bought a house, remodeling the house, working full time, making baby quilts, Kenai Construction academy which is a 4 week training with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and welding. Its been an amazing 4 weeks and I have learned A LOT. I will hopefully be building a sewing table/fabric storage/cutting table this week in carpentry.
School part time with my diet and nutrition courses, and my ethnobotany course. I am slowly working towards my Ethnobotany certificate and am excited to continue and learning about plants as medicine.
I was able to travel to Bethel last month for work and it was so great to be home.
Two fun giveaways! And I am thinking about doing another giveaway on this page so I can get the word out π Keep posted!
I finished my first big qaspeq order for the Kuskokwim Campus college. I cant wait to share pictures of the students in their beautitful qaspeqs.
Home sweet home in beautiful Soldotna!
I am so excited to start making some serious sewing magic in my new sewing room.
Stay posted! I should be getting all my things for sale posted with prices hopefully by this weekend π I am trying to juggle school, work, part time job at the quilt shop, my business, and my family.
Lets just say it was a busy busy December with sewing, sewing and more sewing!
Because homemade gifts are the best it was a busy sewing month. Frozen quilts. Christmas qaspeq vests. And just call me the crazy bag lady it was a busy month of bag making.
I have decided to move forward and start my own sewing business. Coming up with the business name was tough but I nailed it down to Sew Yup’ik.
Lets just say its been a busy month. With the new year approaching I am so thankful for my amazing supportive family and my obsessive personality to never sit down and rest and to always keep busy.Β
May your new year bring on happiness, good cheer, and all smiles!
